Suitable for children aged 7 or older. This workshop is to make a birdhouse, gently guided by your instructor Ana.

Ana is a cherished member of the Winterwares team, with over 5 years experience as a ceramics artist. She's bright and bubbly and delights in sharing her knowledge of pottery.

Our studio has been thoughtfully designed to be soothing and beautiful.

It's located in the West End of Fremantle, a few doors up from Paper Bird bookstore.

These kids workshops are designed for complete beginners, no experience is necessary. As it is designed especially for kids, adult accompaniment is not required.

The workshop includes:

  • 3 hours of guided clay making with a short break for snacks.
  • Your finished birdhouse. (We will keep your creation after the class to fire and glaze it. Glazing will be in a clear gloss. They will be ready to collect three weeks after the workshop from our Fremantle studio).
  • Morning tea - a La Paleta (delicious ice pop made with fresh WA fruit), and organic popcorn.
  • All materials and an apron is provided for the day.

Price is $65 person, each person will make their own birdhouse.

The workshop runs from 10am to 1pm at 34 Henry Street, Fremantle.

Couldn't recommend 'The Make a Birdhouse Workshop' highly enough

My daughter enjoyed her 'Make a Birdhouse' workshop so much, we booked into the windchimes one too. She really enjoyed the experience of working with clay to create something beautiful and useful. She is particularly looking forward to seeing the birds use her birdhouse and benefit from her creation. She was in fantastic form when I collected her. She was proud of her work and excited about the lovely kids she met on the workshop. She also said that it was really relaxing as well as fun. I also enjoyed having a few hours in Fremantle to browse the bookshops and have excellent coffee with a friend. Winterwares is a very beautiful studio, the workshop was really well facilitated by a very sweet and knowledgeable artist educator. I couldn't recommend the experience any higher. it is one of the best activities (actually my daughter says 'the very best') we have ever signed her up for. Sign up now, if you can get a spot, you won't regret it and your child may discover new depths to their creativity.
