We were gifted a Winterwares workshop from some special people in our lives who live abroad. With the warmth of the gift, it was a privilege to spend a morning with Simone in her beautiful studio being gently led through the process of hand crafting a mug.

It was my first pottery class ever and Simone patiently walked me through the whole process using different techniques such as Kirinuki to slowly turn a block of clay into tea cups.

Instead of being worried about how to create perfect and symmetrical pieces, I got to be at ease, bring the mind back to the present and focus on the clay at hand. I'm glad that I've found an activity that can become a new long term hobby of mine. Looking forward to the next class at Winterwares when I'm in Fremantle.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend attending one of Winterwares workshops.

My partner and I did this as a mini break from the busy-ness of life, and it did not disappoint. Simone is a wonderful teacher and it was just so calm and I somehow, against my wildest expectations, made a mug that I can drink from and looks much better than my last clay attempt (my year 4 ash tray). I highly recommend!

Had the best time during this workshop. Came with a friend and we both loved the small intimate group, letting our creations come to us with the guidance of Simone. The space is relaxed and beautiful and I will definitely do another workshop now I feel inspired to do so 🫶

My good friend and I celebrated my birthday with a pottery workshop at Winterwares. What a treat. The studio is thoughtfully decorated and the pottery making was fun, relaxing and mindful. My husband and I had an amazing time spending our Sunday afternoon making salad bowls. Simone was beyond accommodating from the moment we walked in. She made the process painless for people who have never done pottery before. She helped just enough throughout to make sure we had a great end product. Give it a try if you're looking for a relaxing and fun afternoon.

I completed two workshops with two different work teams at Winterwares. In both workshops, Simone created a wonderful atmosphere, the activities and conversation flowed so seamlessly, and it was great fun too. The studio is a lovely space where you can truly relax, disconnect from work and enjoy the company of your colleagues/friends. And the retail shop is just mint.

My partner and I love the workshops at Winterwares. It's a great opportunity to switch off and create for a couple hours. Simone always makes the courses enjoyable and informative. We will back again, and again!

My daughter has attended 2 x kids holiday workshops which we absolutely loved, and which lead to us celebrating her 9th birthday with a private workshop with 7 of her friends. Our experience at Winterwares has been nothing but supreme and we cant thank Sim and Anna enough.

I recently attended Simone’s mug-making class for the second time (having done it a couple of years earlier). The experience was just as fantastic as I remembered it being. The Winterwares shop itself is a beautiful relaxing space and Simone is the perfect pottery tutor. She provided just the right amount of direction and attention to all that attended. We look forward to picking up our glazed mugs in a few weeks! Highly recommend this class to any novice or ceramics newbie, or anyone wanting to try something new with nurturing guidance.

I received gift voucher for my birthday to make a breakfast set. The space is gorgeous and our tutor, Ana was a gentle guide who gave us just the right amount of direction so that we could learn techniques independently. Lots of attention to detail - including a lovely morning tea afterwards too. It was the most lovely, mindful experience - highly recommended. Thank you Sim and Ana!

I have been using it and I absolutely love the look and feel of it, and the fact that each one is unique and handmade makes me appreciate it more.

What an awesome class! Definitely recommend it, I have zero pottery skills but was really happy with results. Ana was amazing and made the class fun. This was a gift from my son for my birthday and will definitely be doing another one. Simone was so friendly and welcoming and i enjoyed the treats. Can't wait to pick up my pieces !! The most relaxing activity I have done in ages !

My mum, sister and I did this workshop for a girls day and it was a beautiful setup, well guided class, very peaceful and relaxing, Sim is very lovely and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

This Kinstugi class had it all. Expert guidance by the patient and supportive Anna and a beautifully curated take-home kit containing materials required to practice our new skills in this centuries-old art of mending broken things. The Winterwares studio is a calm and tranquil space in which to slow down the pace of life and engage all the senses-I’d happily spend all my days there!

I was gifted one of these big Winterwares mug for christmas and I LOVE it. It's on the same beauty/joy tier as my vintage mugs (tough competition) but because it goes in the dishwasher it's become the mug I always reach for (busy girl's best friend).
