Paint & Carve a Serving Platter
per person
Immerse yourself in the calming art of pottery with our sgraffito platter workshop. In our serene and inspiring space, you’ll create a unique platter by painting and carving beautiful patterns and textures. We will provide a rectangular platter around 39 x 22 cm for you to decorate.
No need to worry about where to start – we’ll guide you through a simple design process to help you create a pattern that’s easy to apply, taking the stress out of facing a blank canvas. Step-by-step, you’ll create a striking, abstract pattern on your platter in your favourite colours.
Guided step-by-step, you’ll not only learn the craft but also discover the joy of creating something meaningful with your hands.
Your finished platter will be a lasting reminder of your time spent embracing creativity and slowing down.
This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to connect with their creativity and create something truly special.

Absolutely. Our workshops are guided at a gentle pace. Whatever your level of experience with ceramics, there is always a connection when hand building with clay.
After your workshop, your creations will be carefully dried, glazed and kiln fired by the Winterwares team. Your finished pieces will usually be ready for collection from our Fremantle studio in approximately 3 weeks.
Please note that we will always handle your pieces with the utmost care and professionalism, however, as is the nature of ceramics, on very rare occasions the pieces do not make it through the kiln firing process.
